Disabled Tractor-Trailer Causing Major Delays On I-81 In Central PA

A disabled tractor-trailer is backing up traffic for miles on Interstate 81 in Dauphin County, PennDOT announced on Thursday, Feb. 27.

The vehicle became disabled around 8:15 a.m. in the northbound lanes near Exit 72A for Route 22/Paxtonia in Lower Paxton Township, according to officials.

One lane remains restricted as crews work to clear the scene, causing severe congestion in the area.

Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes if possible. The restriction is expected to be lifted by 10:30 a.m., PennDOT said.
